Peter Gunn Item number 8898317JC, $50.00 This Henry Mancini favorite is a 90's version of the tune, created by arranger Tod Edmondson. This piece is always popular with band students, and Tod provides a fresh new approach to this classic melody. Perfect for the stands and a real winner for pep band as well, you'll have a lot of fun with this one! Technical Notes: The "Pops For Marching Band Series" has a unique feature which allows the band director to customize the arrangement to fit their band in the lower voices. Each arrangement is published with two lower brass and woodwind parts, #1 and #2. They are printed in both bass and treble clefs. Also, an optional E Flat alto saxophone part is included which doubles the low brass and woodwind part #1. This will allow the band director to assign trombones, baritones, tenor saxes and even some alto saxes (if necessary) to balance the lower brass and woodwind sound. The electric bass part is also an optional baritone BC part. The E Flat baritone saxophone, electric bass, and baritone BC parts can be used as tuba doubles. Option #1 for low brass and woodwind can be made up of 1st trombone, 1st baritone, 1st tenor saxophone, and/or optional alto saxophone. The other option 1 is trombones. Option #2 can be 2nd trombone, 2nd baritone, and/or 2nd tenor sax. You can also use baritones and tenor saxes for option #2. Composer(s): This piece was composed by Henry Mancini.
